Position Related
This role is responsible for supporting financial operations relating to Telenor Linx (TLX). This will include performing the month end closing and reporting related activities, monthly/quarterly management reporting, performing periodic reconciliations and control activities for TLX.
Telenor Linx is a trusted global partner for Mobile Network Operators and Digital Service Providers, for market leading software to enable digital authentication, payment, and third-party sales & distribution.
Goals
- Support Manager Accounts and Finance in month end closing and reporting in-line with the Group Accounting guidelines.
- Finalization of annual statutory financials and coordination with auditors.
- Ensure reconciliation & control over financial statement line items ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Your Typical day at work
- Perform month end closing activities including recording of accruals, reviewing different financial statement areas and reporting reliable financial information to management.
- Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Reporting based on Group Accounting guidelines in FCC (A group reporting tool).
- Preparation and monitoring of reconciliation between FCC and company’s accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics/D365).
- Coordination with internal and external auditors for finalization of periodic reviews and audits including annual statutory financials.
- Coordination with tax consultants and group tax team for finalization of company’s tax related matters.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to comply with Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR).
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives including standardization of processes and to design controls to achieve utmost accuracy and completeness.
- Identifying opportunities to improve policies and procedures including automation of existing processes.
- Ensuring proper documentation and periodic updating of SOPs.
- Managing ad-hoc projects and tasks as and when required

Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- ACCA/ACMA/CA Intermediate
Work experience:
- 3+ years’ experience in Accounting or Finance preferably in a multinational environment
- Strong accounting knowledge of practical implementation of IFRS
- Have exposure of statutory reporting
- Experience in accounting and financial systems
- Have reasonable knowledge and experience in handling company’s tax matters
- Strong analytic and interpersonal skills
Functional Skills / Knowledge Areas
- Excellent communications skills with proficiency in Verbal & Written English language
- Ready to accept challenges and meet stringent deadlines
- Well versed with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities
- Sound knowledge of D365 and FCC is a plus
- Good Time-management and strong follow-up skills
- Self-motivated to undertake responsibilities and work without supervision
- Ability to bond and adjust within the team and department
